The 333 Bass Panfish is a high-floating, weight-forward fly line designed for bass and panfish fishing in lakes, rivers and ponds. Its aggressive taper helps turn over air-resistant topwater flies and streamers, while the bright yellow color makes the line easier to track in low-light conditions.

Stiff PVC coating and monofilament core provide durability and reliable handling through warm summer temperatures. Available from WF3F through WF7F, the line features a compact 27-foot head for easy casting with larger warmwater flies.

More great Cortland products!

After several years away from trying to learn fly fishing I decided to give it another go. I asked a knowledgeable friend what line I should get for an outfit someone gave me. It’s a 3 weight and I figured it would be a better teaching tool so I could learn the other rods I’ve had all these years (including an older Cortland FairPlay !) He said to go with Cortland. Then I saw a longtime idol of mine wearing a Cortland hat and advertising their lines. I’m so glad I made that choice! BTW the idol was the great, late Flip Pallot.

I love this line!

This is perfect for freshwater here in Florida. It casts very well, even in hot weather, and turns over heavier flies.

New Fly Rod

I got my son his first fly rod and bought this line for it. I’ve used Cortland for a long time. Shipped quick and arrived quick. No complaints on the line. Performing as expected.

Cortland bass taper line

Line is OK, but it gets really coil-y when water is cool as it has been where I am in Central Colorado. It's quite inexpensive, but I wouldn't buy it again.
