Orders and Payment

We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. These may include major credit cards, debit cards, Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other secure payment options supported by our checkout.

Payment is collected when your order is placed. By submitting your order, you authorize Cortland Line Company and our payment processors to charge the final order total shown at checkout.

Before you place an order, checkout will show the amount you are agreeing to pay. This may include the product subtotal, discounts or promotional codes when applied, shipping charges when applicable, sales tax when applicable, and the final order total.

Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers. Cortland Line Company does not store full credit card numbers on our website.

If a payment is declined or cannot be processed, the order may not be completed. You may need to use another payment method or contact your bank or card provider.

Sales Tax, Shipping Charges, and Promotions

Sales tax may be added based on your shipping address and applicable tax rules. Any tax charged will be calculated and shown during checkout before your order is placed.

Shipping charges are calculated during checkout and shown before payment is submitted. Any required shipping, handling, or order-related charges will be included in the final order total shown before you place your order.

If a free shipping offer is available, the terms of that offer will be shown on the site or during checkout.

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change without notice. Promotional codes and discounts must be applied before the order is submitted. Once an order has been placed, discounts may not be available to apply retroactively.

Shipping and Delivery

Orders are shipped to the address provided at checkout. Please review your shipping address carefully before placing your order.

Shipping options, costs, and estimated delivery timeframes, when available, will be shown during checkout. Delivery dates are estimates and may vary based on carrier service, destination, weather, holidays, order volume, and other factors outside Cortland’s control.

Once an order has shipped, you may receive tracking information by email. Cortland is not responsible for carrier delays, but we will do our best to help if there is an issue with your shipment.

If you believe your order is missing, delayed, damaged in transit, or delivered to the wrong address, please contact customer service as soon as possible.

Order Confirmation, Changes, and Cancellations

After checkout, you will receive an order confirmation by email. This includes a summary of the items purchased and the amount billed.

In rare cases, an order may be canceled or adjusted due to inventory issues, payment problems, pricing errors, suspected fraud, or other order processing concerns.

If you need to change or cancel an order, contact customer service as soon as possible. We will do our best to help, but orders that have already been processed, packed, or shipped may not be eligible for changes or cancellation.

30-Day Returns

Eligible items purchased from cortlandline.com may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund to the original form of payment, less any original shipping charges.

Returned items must be unused and in original condition with all tags, packaging, and product materials included. Items that are used, worn, washed, altered, damaged, or missing original packaging may be denied.

Stickers, decals, gift cards, and final sale items are non-refundable.

Customers are responsible for shipping products back to Cortland unless the return is due to an error with the order. We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service, as Cortland is not responsible for return packages lost or damaged in transit.

Exchanges

If you need a different size, weight, color, or model, please contact us before sending your item back.

Exchanges are based on product availability. Items must be unused and in original condition with all tags, packaging, and product materials included.

If the item you need is not available, we may recommend returning the original item for a refund and placing a new order.

Refunds

When a refund is approved, it is issued back to the original form of payment.

Shipping charges may be non-refundable unless otherwise stated in this policy or required by law.

Please allow up to 2 weeks from the time your return is mailed for your refund to be processed. You will receive an email confirmation once your return has been completed.

Product Warranty

Unless otherwise stated on the product, products manufactured and/or distributed by Cortland Line Company are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship.

Any product believed to be defective within 1 year from the date of purchase should be submitted for review with proof of purchase from the original owner.

All warranty products must be purchased from an authorized Cortland retailer to be eligible. Cortland reserves the right to repair or replace warrantied products with a similar product. Replacement components may differ in color or other cosmetic features, as products and materials may change over time.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage from use, fire, theft, loss, or incidental damage.

Please contact us before returning any product for warranty review.

Rod Warranty and Repairs

Cortland rods must be registered within 30 days of purchase to be eligible for the Limited Lifetime Warranty. Warranty coverage against defects in materials or workmanship is limited to the lifetime of the original registered owner.

To repair or replace a registered Cortland rod, a $50 fee may apply for damage that is not directly related to a manufacturing defect at the time of purchase.

We strongly recommend insuring and tracking all shipments sent to Cortland.

Before Sending Product Back

Please contact Cortland before sending any product back for a return, exchange, warranty review, or rod repair. Products sent without contacting us first may be delayed or denied.

Customers are responsible for shipping products to Cortland unless the return is due to an error with the order. Cortland is not responsible for packages lost or damaged in transit.

If a product is approved for warranty replacement or repair, Cortland will provide the next steps after the product has been reviewed.
