Micron Fly Line Backing - Chartreuse
Stretch-resistant construction, zero-twist handling and dependable knot performance make Micron a trusted choice for freshwater and saltwater fly reels. It is available in 20 lb and 30 lb strengths across multiple spool lengths for single-reel setups, multiple reels and shop spooling.
The high-vis Chartreuse color stands out clearly on the reel and makes the backing easier to track when a running fish carries the fly line into the backing.

This fly line backing is awesome! I use it to hand make cast nets and it is a dream to work with strong, the knots hold like no other line I have used bar none! I haven’t used it for fishing but I couldn’t imagine anyone being disappointed with it. I would definitely recommend. You to give it a try!!
This line was recommended by several fellow cast net makers because it pulls smooth, clean and tight knots. They were absolutely correct! Good stuff!
........rely on Cortland for all their FF lines, leaders, & backing.
Love the visibily and strength of the line!
I have used Micron backing in the past and am very pleased with it. I haven’t used this particular backing yet bought bought it for the color which comes in handy if a fish gets into your backing. I had that happen last year for the first time while steelhead fishing.
If you’re going to use Micron . Cortland is the only way to go
Fantastic line with vibrant color from a company with excellent customer service.
Ok
Always liked Cortland's backing
Easy to use.
As with everything from Cortland, exceeds expectations!!
Ties nail knots very nicely. Tight weave stays together much better than others I've used.
Only use the best backing on the market
Simply the best Dacron backing sold. Small for its breaking strength, consistent diameter, and splicable.
The best I’ve used by a long shot!
