Built on a braided nylon multifilament core, 444 Peach is an ultra supple, high floating line designed for dry fly fishing, nymphing, and casting small streamers. Its forgiving weight forward taper provides smooth turnover and dependable line control across a wide range of freshwater fishing situations. This line is also available in Double Taper.

For those who fish often, it’s hard to beat the 444. It’s true to line weight and lasts as long as a $100+ dollar line.
I have been a 444 user for 30+ years. I have try the competitors but always return to the best line for all types of casting.
Hands down the 444 is the best.

After being convinced by my friend to give the Cortland 444 Peach (4-wt line) a try, I purchased it for my glass rod. I have to be honest here; the price and quality are superb. The line loads very well on the slow-action glass rod, and it casts smoothly and effortlessly. It is an excellent addition to the small waters setup, and it will not disappoint you when roll casting at any distance. Would I repurchase this line? 100%.
I actually returned this line but only because I ordered the wrong type of line. This is a 5 star review due to the superb customer support provided by Mitch and the Cortland team. Every company should aspire to the caliber of Cortland's customer support.

The 444 Peach WF line is my new favorite. I fish both freshwater streams and saltwater beaches all the time. These lines are affordable, durable, and easy to clean. It's me new favorite line.

I began fly fishing 30-some years ago. I learned from an experienced friend who touted the 444 double taper. I have tried many lines in those intervening years, but none were the equal for my style of fishing than the 444. They're supple fly lines that offer smoother casting properties than lines twice their price. If you like fishing streams and rivers, you'll find no better.

Easy to cast.. accurate weight
Attractive, packaged neatly, well-made, and shipped quickly. Cortland is a great company and I buy probably 90% of my line from them.
I’ve used the Classic 5 weight for about 20 years now. I’ve had tried about 10 other brands or types of lines though out my fly fishing career but I always come back to this one.

My go to line for nearly 50 years. Looks just right on my Medalist reels with fiberglass and bamboo rods.
I stopped by the factory in Cortland and had the best time. I got to see the machines, meet to the lovey team and buy a nice line for an old Norwegian cane rod. I felt like I was visiting family.

I've been fishing Cortland lines for many years, in fact I purchased my first Cortland line more than 45 years ago. The 444 Peach is by far my favorite lines for my bamboo rods, but I don't limit them to that. Great tapers that present a fly with delicacy!

I haven’t installed the line on my 5wt rod currently. It was purchased to have as a backup line replacement.
I have used Cortland fly lines for 30 years on a variety of fly rods and have been very pleased with the line.
I recently got lucky enough to acquire a bunch of bamboo fly rods. I purchased a few lines so that I could figure out what I had gotten. These lines are remarkably versatile and I was surprised how nicely they cast on these older rods. I am going to try a few with some of my slower action modern rods.

I’ve been fly fishing for 35 years and tried all the major brands. The 444 peach is simply the best fly line there is.
Just the best line I ever fished with. I fished with all the other major brands and the 444 peach beats them all. I hope cortland never stops making this fly line.
