Casting Character Smooth and Delicate
Developed around 2000, 444 Sylk was created to reproduce the feel and performance of traditional silk fly lines without the repeated drying, dressing, and maintenance. Its ultra thin diameter and ultra supple construction complement the slower casting tempo of bamboo, fiberglass, and classic action rods.

The 37 foot head features a long front taper that forms smooth loops and presents flies with minimal surface disturbance. Its weight forward design provides controlled roll casting and precise line handling for dry flies, wet flies, and soft hackles, particularly on small streams and in close quarters. Finished in the color of natural oiled silk, 444 Sylk combines a traditional casting experience with the convenience of a modern floating fly line.
