FAQ
Our Tropic Plus Hi-Vis Flip is built for tropic environments and will perform best in temperatures above 70 degrees (F). Our Tropic PVC coating is designed to remain hard, slick and supple in the hottest conditions.
The taper design for our Hi-Vis Flip line was built to excel in both short and long range casting. The short body and short rear taper allows for more energy to be transferred into your cast for quickly shooting your line. The short front taper turns over heavy or big flies with ease. This line is built overweighted for quick loading and fast shooting in close quarters as well as further distances.
This line is finished in a Hi-Vis Orange and white for ultimate traceability in stained or off-color water. The dual color also distinguishes taper change and identifies best loading point.
Cleaning your fly line is very important especially when fishing saltwater. Simply pull line off your reel into a clean bucket or tub of freshwater. Put roughly 1oz or more of Cortland’s Line Cleaner solution onto a clean rag or towel. Firmly squeeze the towel with Pro Line Cleaner around the line and slowly pull line through the towel. You should be able to see dirt or discolored streaks on the towel when finished.
